Abstract

This research focuses on an E-examination system that revolves around essays. Its objective is to improve the examination process by automating it. To achieve this, an algorithm is developed to implement the designed system, assess its functionality, and create a database management system. The system consists of three modules: Administration (Admin), lecturers/staff, and students. These modules utilize the computer system to enhance the examination process electronically. The proposed method is based on a review of previous research and the current practices of various institutions conducting examinations. The project incorporates the Levishstein distance Algorithm, which measures word and sentence similarities to score students based on their answers. The interface design and program operations are implemented using the C SHARP programming language.
