Abstract
Given that the COVID-19 has become and the rate at which it spread poses risk for the survival of human race, health care workers are considered crucial to containing the disease. Studies conducted show that Health Workers as frontline staff are the forefront workers who play critical role in either transmission or prevention of the disease. This paper reviewed the knowledge, perception and practice of Nurses towards prevention of COVID-19 transmission. The area of study is among Nigerian, and review of previous papers was used as method of data collection. Findings indicated that nurses have adequate knowledge on COVID-19, positive attitude, but sometimes their attitude is affected as a result of working condition. They have good practice though; in some instances, their practice is affected as a result of lack of enough facilities especially for personal protection that can promote for good practice. Therefore, the study recommend that government should involve all relevant Agencies in awareness campaign for all populace, government to provide all necessary facilities, health workers to embark on attending seminar and workshop for more enlightening on the pandemic, health workers to try and ensure attitudinal change towards the treatment and prevention of the infection.
